SNACC 51st Annual Meeting

The days are getting longer in the northern hemisphere and the SNACC 2023 Annual Meeting is coming up fast! The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is hard at work to create another exciting meeting that will bring you the best of neuroscience in anesthesiology and critical care. This year’s meeting will take place at the Westin Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia, on September 8-10, 2023. The program is coming together nicely and will include inspiring speakers, cutting-edge science, and practice-informing clinical topics, including our first ever session of member-submitted content. We will also once again offer hands-on workshops and a variety of social events that will allow us to connect with old friends and create new networks with likeminded colleagues.

Can we really prevent postoperative delirium and long-term cognitive decline? Come to the keynote lecture to find out! We are delighted to announce that this year’s keynote speaker, delivering the Maurice Albin Keynote Lecture, will be Dr. Lisbeth Evered. Dr. Evered is a well-known expert in perioperative neurocognitive disorders and will bring us the latest science in this exciting and important field.

Building on the success of our 50th Anniversary Gala at the Aquarium in Seattle, we will once again host a formal dinner event at a gorgeous off-site venue on Friday evening. Look for more details on the venue once registration opens. Bring a guest and enjoy an evening of camaraderie, food and fun! There will also be a less formal pub night on Saturday. Tickets for both events will be available on the registration site, and are expected to sell out quickly.

Save the date! The 51st SNACC Annual Meeting will take place in Alexandria, VA, on September 8-10, 2023. Alexandria is just a hop away from beautiful Washington, DC and all its sights. The meeting is an in-person event that will allow us to connect with friends old and new. We hope you will be able to join us in person and can’t wait to see you. We will once again offer virtual abstract presentations and will also have on-demand recordings of the main session content available as a registration option for those unable to travel to Alexandria.
